Originally founded by the Arizona Southern Baptists in 1949, Grand Canyon University has received national attention as one of the top five e-schools for entrepreneurs by FORTUNE 500 Small Business while also ranking among the top ten online colleges for 2008 by the Online Education Database. GCU is a non-denominational Christian University, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, currently offering degrees in Nursing & Health Sciences, Business, Liberal Arts and Education.
