Back in the early nineties when the internet was still foreign to most of the world, there was really only one University offering classes online. Of course back then the technology was much simpler and not as convenient as it is today but University of Phoenix Online still maintains its stronghold as one of the top online colleges in the world.

Ironically enough, through the technology advances of the last 20 years, UOP Online still runs it’s classes through email technology keeping it’s core teaching model in tact. And how do the students feel about this teaching methodology? Apparently the tens of thousands of students are fine with it.

Sure there are other online colleges using new technology to offer classes online, but what really matters in the long run is whether your earned a degree that can take you to the next level in your career, and not the manner in which you took the classes.
